Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the biggest upcoming games from Rockstar Games, and players now have more than one edition to consider when purchasing it. If you have searched for the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, you probably want to know what it includes, how much it costs, and whether the extra content makes it a better choice than the Standard Edition.
The Ultimate Edition includes the main game and an additional collection of in game items connected to the stories of Jason and Lucia. These bonuses include vehicles, weapons, clothing, customisation locations, and other content. Rockstar also lists a separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade for people who purchase the Standard Edition.
For buyers in India, the official PlayStation and Xbox listings show a Standard Edition price of ₹5,999 and an Ultimate Edition price of ₹7,499 at the time of research on October 12, 2026. Prices and promotions can change, so check your own store before purchasing.
This guide explains the confirmed contents, the price difference, the available upgrade option, and the important details to check before spending your money.
What Is the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?
The GTA 6 Ultimate Edition is a digital edition of Grand Theft Auto VI that includes the main game and an additional package of in game content.
Rockstar describes the extra content as a collection of items connected to different parts of Jason and Lucia’s story. The bonuses cover vehicles, weapons, clothing, customisation options, and other locations or activities within the game.
The key difference is that the Ultimate Edition costs more than the Standard Edition because it includes the Ultimate Edition Upgrade.
However, buying a more expensive edition does not automatically mean that the main story is better. If your main goal is to play GTA 6, you should compare the actual contents and decide whether the extra items matter to you.
You can check the official GTA VI editions page to see the information published by Rockstar Games.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Price in India
The official Indian store listings currently show the following prices.
| Edition | Listed price in India |
|---|---|
| GTA 6 Standard Edition | ₹5,999 |
| GTA 6 Ultimate Edition | ₹7,499 |
| Difference | ₹1,500 |
These prices are based on the Indian listings checked for this article. The PlayStation India GTA VI page and Xbox India store listing are the places to verify the latest price for your platform.
The Ultimate Edition costs ₹1,500 more than the Standard Edition at these listed prices. Before buying, make sure you are comparing the same platform and region. Taxes, store promotions, payment conditions, and future price changes may affect what you pay.
Do not rely only on prices shown in social media posts or videos. A screenshot can be outdated, and a price in another country may not apply to Indian buyers.
What Is Included in the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?
According to Rockstar’s official edition information, the Ultimate Edition includes the main game and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. The upgrade adds several types of in game content.
1. The complete GTA 6 game
The Ultimate Edition includes Grand Theft Auto VI itself. This is the main game that players are purchasing, with the story following Jason and Lucia in the fictional state of Leonida.
Rockstar’s official announcement lists November 19, 2026, as the release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announced platforms and release information can be checked through the official Rockstar announcement.
Make sure you select the correct platform before completing your purchase.
2. Additional vehicles
The Ultimate Edition includes several named vehicles and vehicle related items. Rockstar’s list includes the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles, the Shitzu Squalo, the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage, and the Classic Car Collection.
These bonuses may appeal to players who enjoy collecting vehicles and exploring the game world.
However, the official item list should not be interpreted as a promise that every vehicle will have a particular performance advantage. Check Rockstar’s official descriptions for details as they become available.
3. Weapons and personalised variants
The listed upgrade content includes Hawk and Little Morgan Revolvers and personalised weapon variants.
These are part of the additional content offered with the Ultimate Edition. If you are mainly interested in the story, you may not consider these bonuses essential. If you enjoy collecting items and customising your character’s equipment, they may be more appealing.
Wait for the game and its official descriptions before assuming that a particular weapon provides a competitive advantage or changes the difficulty of the main story.
4. Clothing and style options
The Ultimate Edition includes Vice City Styles and Goodtime Gear, along with other listed clothing related content.
Cosmetic content can be enjoyable for players who like to customise their characters. Still, cosmetics are a personal preference rather than a requirement for experiencing the game.
Think about whether you will actually use these extras before paying more for the edition.
5. Customisation locations and other content
Rockstar’s official list also names several locations and activities associated with the upgrade. These include Rideout Customs Mod Shop, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305 Clothing Store, Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor, and One Eyed Willie’s Mod Shop.
The package also lists Ganado Retro Build and PTT Youngin$ Compound.
Rockstar describes the bonuses as being connected to different parts of Jason and Lucia’s story. The exact experience of each item should be judged using the official information rather than assumptions based on its name.
You can find the full list on the Rockstar Games customer support page for editions and versions.
GTA 6 Standard Edition vs Ultimate Edition
The Standard Edition is the basic purchase option. Rockstar’s support page states that it includes the game. The Ultimate Edition adds the Ultimate Edition Upgrade and its collection of extra content.
Here is a simple comparison.
| Feature | Standard Edition | Ultimate Edition |
|---|---|---|
| Main GTA 6 game | Included | Included |
| Ultimate Edition Upgrade | Not included by default | Included |
| Additional vehicles and items from the upgrade | Not included by default | Included |
| Higher upfront price | No | Yes |
| Upgrade option later | Available | Already included |
Rockstar says Standard Edition owners can purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately through the PlayStation or Microsoft store after redeeming their game code. This gives buyers an option to start with the Standard Edition and decide later whether they want the additional content.
Check the current product page for the precise terms that apply to your purchase.
Is the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Worth Buying?
There is no single answer for every player. The better choice depends on what you value and how much you want to spend.
Choose the Standard Edition if you mainly want the game
If you want to experience the main story and explore Leonida, the Standard Edition may be enough. It includes the game without requiring you to pay for the Ultimate Edition Upgrade upfront.
This option can also help you keep your gaming budget under control. You do not have to buy every bonus package to enjoy a game.
Consider the Ultimate Edition if you want the extra content
If you enjoy collecting vehicles, customising characters, and accessing additional in game items, the Ultimate Edition may be worth considering.
Before purchasing it, read the official item list and decide which extras you actually care about. Paying more simply because an edition is labelled “Ultimate” is not a good reason by itself.
Remember that you may be able to upgrade later
Rockstar states that Standard Edition owners can purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately after redeeming their game code.
This option may be useful if you want to wait until you know more about the additional content. Check the upgrade price and availability in your platform’s store before deciding, since offers and purchase conditions can change.
What About Pre Order Bonuses?
Rockstar’s official announcement describes a Vintage Vice City Pack for eligible GTA VI pre orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026. The listed pack includes a ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern.
Rockstar’s store and support information also describes a one month GTA+ offer connected to eligible digital pre orders. Subscription conditions and redemption rules apply, so read the details before relying on this benefit.
The important point is to distinguish a pre order bonus from content included specifically in the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. Some benefits may be offered with more than one edition, subject to the published conditions.
Check the official Rockstar pre order announcement and your platform’s product page before buying.
Is There a Physical GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?
Rockstar’s support page says the Ultimate Edition is digital. It also states that a physical version of the Standard Edition is available as a box containing a download code rather than a game disc.
That distinction is important for players who prefer physical game collections. A box does not necessarily mean that a disc is included.
If you want a physical copy, read the packaging description and retailer listing carefully. Confirm whether it contains a disc or a code, and check how the code can be redeemed in your region.
The official Rockstar support page provides further details about editions and physical versions.
How to Avoid Fake GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Offers
Popular games often attract misleading advertisements, unofficial giveaways, and fake store pages. Take a few simple precautions before making a purchase.
First, use the official Rockstar website, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or a retailer you trust. Second, check the edition name and price before completing checkout. Third, avoid sellers who promise unusually cheap activation codes without explaining their source or redemption restrictions.
Do not share your Rockstar or console account password with a website that claims to unlock the Ultimate Edition. Do not install unknown software or disable your computer’s security protection to receive a bonus.
If an offer sounds too good to be true, verify it directly through the official store. A real promotion should have clear terms, an identifiable seller, and a valid purchase or redemption process.
